Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the VanquishNet mobile app (package com.vanquishnet.nvr) and the VanquishNet NVR software treat information. It applies to the app you install from Google Play and to the NVR instance that app connects to.
Who we are
VanquishNet Communications provides video security software for homes and businesses. The phone app talks only to the NVR address you enter (your own server or the host your installer gave you). We do not operate a public social network and we do not sell video for advertising.
What the app collects
- NVR address and login. The host URL, username, and session token you type are stored on the device so the app can sign in. They are sent only to that NVR.
- Camera names, sites, events, and alerts. Shown in the app as your NVR returns them (for example “Person on Camera 8”).
- Optional local folder. If you grant folder access, clips you export can be saved on the phone. That access is not used to browse unrelated files.
- Notifications. Detection alerts can appear on the device. They are generated from your NVR. The Play listing app does not require a Google advertising ID.
The app does not need the phone camera or microphone for live view. Talk-back, if you use it, sends audio only to the camera you chose on your NVR.
Video and recordings
Live streams and recordings belong to your installation. They stay on your NVR (and any storage you configured, such as a NAS). They are not sold to third parties. Object detection, when enabled, runs for your cameras to create events and alerts. Retention follows your NVR settings.
Account data
Login and preference data are used only to run the service and secure access. Other customers and other sites on the same system cannot see your cameras, events, or notifications.
Third parties
- Google Play distributes the app and may process install and crash data under Google’s policies.
- Your NVR host / network. If you reach the NVR over the internet (for example a tunnel you set up), that path carries the same login and video traffic you already use in a browser.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in this app.
Children
The app is for site operators and is not directed at children under 13. Do not create accounts for children.
Your choices
You can sign out, change the NVR address, turn alerts off, and uninstall the app. To delete account data on the NVR, contact the person who runs your system or email [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
